Friendship Community Improvement Corporation (FCIC) Housing Assistance Program

FCIC has three housing programs available to support the repair and improvement of owner-occupied homes of low- income, handicapped, and elderly citizens in Aiken County. The programs are as follows:

Owner- Occupies Rehabilitation Program-Up to $20,000. repair work possible. First priority is to address health and safety concerns. Energy efficiency is the next priority. Work is performed by licensed contractors. FCIC manages the projects from qualification of beneficiaries to completion of work.

Emergency Repair Program- Up to $7,000. repair work possible. Under this program the work must be of an emergency nature. Otherwise the Program operates like the Owner-Occupied Program.

Housing Preservation Program- This program will allow the rehabilitation of a number of homes in need of repair in rural areas of Aiken County.
